My birth doula training consisted of attending a 3 day intensive in-person workshop, attending over 10 births where I shadowed and assisted other experienced doulas in the birth room, supporting 3 births independently where I was supervised and reviewed by attending physicians, as well as completing a required amount of reading and educational materials that were approved by DONA International.

Certifications

My placenta encapsulation certification consisted of completing a comprehensive online course where I was tested and evaluated for appropriate standards and sanitary practices. I also attended a 2 day workshop where I received hands on experience and supervision handling and processing the placenta. In addition to this I also sourced outside of the H.E,R.B.A.L organization to gain certification for the safe and sanitary handling of bloodborne pathogen materials.

My Reiki 1 certification consisted of a 3 day intensive online workshop where we specifically focused on the support of birthing people. It was focused around healing past birth trauma, relieving pregnancy discomforts, and soothing labor pain.
